I live in Nová Bělá near Ostrava and I started working with wood when I was forty.
   I learned to work with wood by myself, I have no formal art education and I create and learn by trial and error. Initially, I made brooches, rings and bracelets.
   I am trying to bring my works to people. My exhibitions were held in a hospital, a library, a building materials shop, or in waiting rooms of the dentist's outpatient services. It means places where people do not expect any exhibitions to be held, and so they are taken unawares by the scent of wood, wax and turpentine, by the motives and allegories and by the atmosphere of the space filled with energy that can only be given out by wood.
